Owner and Orthodontic Dentist : Julian qualified as a dentist at the University of Queensland Dental School, Brisbane, Australia in 1992. In the years following he worked in both Australia and the UK in general dental practice, providing a broad range of dental treatments. In 2000 he commenced his specialist training in Orthodontics in Edinburgh. During his three years in Scotland Julian attained his Masters degree, Orthodontic qualification and was awarded membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh ).

Julian enjoys what he does for his patients and believes that working in a warm and friendly environment is key to providing high quality treatment and achieving the best possible results.

Manisha graduated in Dentistry from Guys Dental Hospital in 1992. She then completed a 1 year Vocational Training contract in North London after which she undertook SHO posts in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During this time Manisha completed her primary and Final Fellowship examinations. She was then accepted onto the 3 year training programme for Orthodontic Training at Guys Dental Hospital. In 2001, Manisha was awarded MSc and Membership in Orthodontics from Guys Hospital.

After an amazing 3 month backpacking trip to South America, Manisha then commenced her amazing career as an Orthodontic Dentist in 2002. She initially worked in 3 different Specialist Practices and at Kingston Hospital. Over the past 13 years Manisha has treated a vast array of Orthodontic cases. She has great experience in treating both Adults and Children. Manisha is a great fan of treating Class II children with Functional Appliances. She uses a number of different appliances according to the needs of the patient. She has experience in the Straight Wire Appliances, Self-ligating systems including Damon, Lingual Appliances and Invisalign.

Manisha now has 2 young children and likes to divide her time between work and family.

Theo qualified with the degree BChD in 1992 from the University of Pretoria in South Africa, where he studied as a military student. Theo left the Defence Force and bought his first dental practice in Johannesburg.

Since 1998 he decided to limit his practice to Orthodontics and focus on exclusively providing orthodontic treatment, after six years in practice he realised that this is the part of dentistry he enjoys the most. It is a non-invasive area of practice that changed people’s lives; everyone is just so amazed at their new smiles that it is a pleasure to work.

Theo relocated to the United Kingdom in 2001 and worked in Essex at a group of practices, dedicated to Orthodontics. In 2006 he began working within Orthodontic practices in Surrey.

In 2011 he started a UK based Master’s Degree in Orthodontics to supplement his considerable (almost 20 years) experience in providing orthodontic care, successfully achieving the Qualification in late 2017. As a Dentist with considerable experience in providing orthodontic treatment, Theo has been welcomed to the team here at West Street.

He is a member of the British Orthodontic Society and the British Dental Association. He is also certified in three different Lingual Orthodontic systems (hidden braces) and in Invisalign. He has extensive experience with all the different types of braces available today, including self-ligating systems and participates enthusiastically in continuing education.

He is married to Cherie’, an Orthodontic Therapist, and they have two boys, Marco and James. He enjoys photography, activities with the children and reading whenever he gets a chance.

Mitko qualified with honours as a Dentist in Sofia, Bulgaria and has worked in Community Hospitals in Sofia and surrounding areas and In Private practices as a general dentist and later on as a trainee Orthodontist.

He was awarded a Master degree in General Dentistry and later in Orthodontics from Medical University in Sofia. He was awarded a Master degree in International Economics Relations in University of National and World Economy, Sofia.

His special interests are in both adult and children orthodontics with emphasis on complex multidisciplinary treatment as well as cosmetic treatment in adults. He is interested in aesthetic and self-ligating treatments.

Away from the practice, Mitko enjoys travelling , skiing and outdoors activities.

Giulio graduated with an MSc in Orthodontics from Warwick University in 2012.

Prior to this, he gained his bachelor degree in General Dentistry from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in 2000. He also holds the equivalent Australian Dental Degree, having passed both parts of the Australian Dental Council examinations.

After graduating in 2000, Giulio managed the dental wing of the ‘George Masebe Hospital’, a rural hospital in the Northern Province of South Africa. For a year he treated the underprivileged community in the Northern Province before moving to the UK in 2001, where he worked as a General Dental practitioner with a special interest in Orthodontics. Giulio has since been working as a full time clinical associate in the Surrey area for over 18 years.

Between 2012 and 2016, Giulio was also an examiner in the Medical Emergencies section of the General Dental Council’s (GDC’s) Overseas Registration Examination. These are exams for foreign Dentists wanting to gain an equivalent registration in the UK.

Personal interests are Travel and food. Taking every opportunity to explore new countries, cultures and cuisines whenever possible

Jessica qualified as a dentist in 2010 from the University of Bristol. She was awarded four prizes on graduation including the Wilkie Orthodontic Medal. Initially, she worked in general practice and gained a wide breadth of experience in several dental hospital posts, including oral medicine, oral and maxillofacial surgery and special care dentistry. During this period Jessica completed the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) at the Royal College of Surgeons London. Following this she undertook the three year Orthodontic training programme at Kings College London, training in Guy’s hospital, Kingston hospital and St Thomas’ hospital. She completed her MOrth and MSc in Orthodontics, winning the Phillip Walther Prize for the highest results in the process.

She is a member of the British Orthodontic Society, Irish Orthodontic Society and Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. She has presented at conferences and published her research in peer reviewed journals. 

Jessica is a registered specialist Orthodontist. Having worked in specialist Orthodontic practice in Surrey, she enjoyed some time abroad working as a specialist Orthodontist in Ireland before joining the team here. She enjoys guiding her patients through their Orthodontic journey and the privilege of getting to know them in the process. She treats patients of all ages using a range of fixed and removable Orthodontic appliances. She likes to keep up to date with new techniques and embraces the latest technology in the world of Orthodontics. 

Jessica grew up locally, she has now settled back with her husband Geoff who is also a dentist, their 2 young children and dog Ralphie.

Frank graduated in dentistry from the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz (Germany) in 1996. Thereafter, he has worked for three years as a general dentist in Germany and gained extensive experience in different fields of dentistry. In 1999 he decided to focus on orthodontics and started his specialist training to become an orthodontist. During this period, he has worked at the orthodontic department of Guy’s Hospital, London for one year. Frank was awarded the Fachzahnarzt für Kieferorthopädie (German license to practise as an orthodontic specialist) in 2004 (Düsseldorf, Germany).

After working as an orthodontist specialist in Germany Frank relocated to England in 2012 and has worked for six years as an orthodontic specialist in London and later in Colchester. In January 2022 Frank was welcomed to the team of Surrey Orthodontics.

Frank can empathise with patients as he underwent comprehensive orthodontic treatment himself (Treatment with both removable and fixed appliances as well as orthognathic surgery). He now has committed himself to providing high quality orthodontic treatment and achieving the best possible results for his patients. He enjoys seeing patients happy at the end of their orthodontic journey.

In his free time Frank enjoys running, photography and travelling.

Our Associate dentists are self-employed, independent contractors and are personally responsible for the treatment they provide.

Our Therapists

Vicky started her orthodontic nursing career at West Street Orthodontic Practice in 2007. After moving to London, where she obtained all of her qualifications, Vicky returned to West Street in 2015 as a Therapist working closely with the Orthodontist providing treatment care.

Fiona started with us as a trainee dental nurse in 2008, she has since expanded her career by gaining various qualifications. In 2015 she accomplished another milestone by becoming a registered orthodontic therapist with the General Dental Council, in this role she works by providing treatment for patients under prescription from our orthodontists.

Christina joined the practice in October 2018 after working at E&G Ortho Ltd for over 10 years.

Christina was awarded the Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy from The University of Warwick, in July 2014.

In addition to her therapy qualification Christina has also gained further qualifications in:

  • Dental Radiography
  • Certificate in Orthodontic Nursing

Christina has been in dentistry since 2002 and has experience in general dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, implants and orthodontics.

Our Support Staff

Lorna started her career at West Street Orthodontics in 2009, throughout her years she has developed a good understanding of patient empathy and needs. She enjoys meeting people and will always strive to ensure patients are satisfied with their treatment. Lorna ensures the smooth running of reception and will likely be one of the first people you meet at the practice.
